Here is a brief bio of Mr. Sam Brown:
Lifetime of leadership. From serving as an Army Ranger-qualified, Infantry officer in Afghanistan to starting his own small business, Sam Brown’s life has been defined by leadership. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Samuel Brown served as a Platoon Leader in Afghanistan and led soldiers in the Kandahar Desert amid heavy combat. While providing backup to an ambushed patrol, Samuel’s vehicle drove over an improvised explosive device, and this attack left Sam fighting for his life. As our State Representative, Sam will re-focus this warrior spirit towards fighting for our families and taxpayers.
Ongoing service. In 2011, Roger Staubach tapped Samuel to help launch Allies In Service, a non-profit organization that serves veterans who are returning to civilian life in the Dallas area, helping them connect with job opportunities and community resources.
Small business owner. After leading the Allies start-up, Samuel decided to start his own small business, Pruitt, Winston & Brothers, which is named in honor of two of service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country alongside Sam and his business partner. Their business provides consulting services to corporations who want to do business with the federal government and is based right here in District 102, and Sam will bring an extensive knowledge of growing small businesses to his position as your State Representative.
Dedicated husband & father. As a husband, father and patriot, Samuel is committed to leading for a smarter government that put the needs of taxpayers and families first. That means a smaller, more efficient state government that spends wisely and never takes a penny more than
it needs. It means providing service to hardworking families through better public schools, stronger infrastructure and smarter policies that create an environment of opportunity and growth. And, it means reining in federal mandates that are overreaching and negatively impact hardworking families.
